God moves and works in supernatural ways—ways that are beyond human comprehension. He doesn't function according to our time table. Sometimes we think that God isn't answering our prayers or He's delaying His promises indefinitely...but did you know that His timing is impeccable? I remember hearing from a pastor give a brief talk about the way God sets life in order since the dawn of time. He made references to a passage in Mark 11 where it mentions the young donkey Jesus rode on and the fig tree Jesus cursed. I won't get into the specific details of their meaning and such, but I want you to notice something. God is a God of order, working out distinct details of every little thing. Nothing is randomized. "Do not worry about your life . . ." —Matthew 6:25 A warning which needs to be repeated is that “the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches,” and the lust for other things, will choke out the life of God in us ( Matthew 13:22 ). We are never free from the recurring waves of this invasion. If the frontline of attack is not about clothes and food, it may be about money or the lack of money; or friends or lack of friends; or the line may be drawn over difficult circumstances.
